Shifting Priorities

Updated: Apr 8, 2020

Earlier this month I had the idea to create a blog to capture my thoughts and one day share with my kids who I was at that time from the silly minutia to the heartfelt. I had a slew of topics relevant to my world, such as what to wear to elongate a petite silhouette, clothing hacks to make them have another life, a replacement diaper bag, dealing with identity crisis post kids and so on. Two weeks later, I'm here thinking to myself what the hell am I doing? I can't write about stuff like that? Or can I? I think its everyone's duty to acknowledge what is happening, address how we are coping with our new office and co-workers (yay kids) and not feel guilty about having a mental "happy hour" and dive into topics about how to get the most out of your closet.

With that, I realized I don't need to stop my ideas, but I may shift them to be more relevant to what is happening at this moment with the key phrases running through everyone's mind of social distancing, self-isolation and inevitably with many the word quarantine. And honestly what to do with all this time at home, how to make the most of it? Learning to be in close proximity with your loved ones and still love them, showing compassion to not only others, but to yourself. There is so much to discuss and share, so here's to the start of my new normal and point of view during uncertain times living with COVID-19.
